EMBLEMATIC BIRD 2026
Blue-throated Hillstar
A small bird, but with a lot to say.
The Blue-throated Hillstar (Oreotrochilus cyanolaemus) was discovered in 2017 and is now critically endangered, with fewer than 300 individuals. This year it is our emblematic bird.
SPECIAL EXHIBITION
Birds of Ecuador, by Paul J. Greenfield
Artist, naturalist, and guide, Greenfield presents a special exhibition dedicated to the country’s birds.
The fair presents the auction of the original artwork “Blue-throated Hummingbird,” linked to the scientific description of this endemic species from El Oro and Loja, in support of the conservation of Ecuador’s native forests.

Auction: Blue-throated Hummingbird
